The trials of potty training.

Potty Training. Ugh! Those two words strike terror into most parents, and stubborness into most children. Christopher is no exception. He is a little over three and a half years old, he should be potty trained by now. But he's not. He will do pretty good for awhile peeing in the potty almost 100%. He'll even do #2 in it sometimes, although he still prefers to do that in his pull up. Lately though he's been bringing me a pull up and making me put it on him when he has to pee. We are backtracking. I don't want to rush him, but I'm so tired of the pull ups.

I've had other moms tell me that they just stopped buying pull ups and by a week their kids were 100% trained. I don't think I can do that, at least not yet. The messes would be horrific.

I've tried explaining to him that only babies wear diapers. I've tried telling him that when he stops wearing diapers all the time that he will be able to go to school. I don't know, potty training is/has been the hardest parenting thing so far. Getting rid of the paci/binkie was a breeze, nothing to it. Getting rid of the bottle, pretty easy, although I let him keep it until he was almost 18 months old. Still, it was pretty easy.

Anyway, that's just a few of my thoughts on potty training.
